Raccoon Revenge

Role - Lead Artist

Released - iOS and Android devices

I was part of Mass Digi's 2020 Summer Innovation Program (or SIP) for short that created Raccoon Revenge.

Play as Snatcher the Raccoon whos dumpster has been emptied. Go into the city and steal both the trash and treasures from the nasty humans in this top-down sneak-em-up.

Initial Snatcher Concepts

Snatcher went through many stages not only during the Summer but during the following Fall and Spring semesters.

I initially had a more "top-down" view of Snatcher and kept his design simple as I had planned to use a frame by frame animation but later into development we would use a puppet style animation inside of Unity.

For his final design, we wanted to make him cuter and more like a cartoon character. His design above was a little weird so I wanted to simplify his design a bit while maintaining his color palette.

Pawprints

Initially I designed these for the trail snatcher would leave behind him and if he stepped on a puddle (or mud or something green) it would change color.

Enemies

Initially during the early stages of development, we wanted to have Snatcher steal trash from a variety of places and instead of having scary monster's chasing after Snatcher, having regular everyday people try to stop him makes the game feel a bit more grounded.

Enemies

With our initial design of Snatcher ready to go, we also needed the enemies to fit in with Snatcher.

Initial Enemy Designs

I eventually settled on a chibi-fied design like Snatcher.

Pest Control Enemies

- Currently Not Implemented and are getting a redesign! -

Snatcher Caught!

When the player gets caught by the enemies, there is a "defeat" scene with Snatcher being scolded by the enemies.

Campaigns

Halloween Campaign 2020

To try to generate more retention and more new users, the Raccoon team created holiday themed campaigns!

First thing every new campaign needs is a new app icon!

Trash-ure - Halloween Edition

Thanksgiving 2020

While there was no Thanksgiving themed campaign, I was requested by the marketing team to make some fun fall artwork to be used for marketing on all the games.
